Brad Skerry
Brad Skerry (Skerry Painter) is a young self-taught oil painter from Shediac NB. He focuses on using vibrant colours and bold paint application. After his encounter with Cancer in 2022, he found purpose and a deeper love for painting. Brad is inspired by his surroundings to establish a lasting impression on the canvas. The plein air painting approach is what motivates him to become a better artist. In front of his easel, Brad feels the most alive. He is now starting to share his work with the public and get known in the community.
Ashley Ouellette
Ashley is a 27-year-old acrylic painter from Cocagne, New Brunswick. Her greatest source of inspiration comes from spending time in nature, especially at the beach, where she can be near the ocean. It's the ideal place for her to reflect and meditate. Ashley's work is mostly abstract, and it's almost impossible for her to create a painting without A shade of blue.
Mélanie Gagnon
Mélanie Gagnon is originally from Saint-Quentin and lives in Shediac, New Brunswick. She has always been inspired by the sea, nature and the beauties that life has painted in a natural way. Artist and teacher, she has worked in schools since 2006 and finds her balance through art. When the visceral need to travel and create manifests itself, she does not hesitate to take a year without pay in order to satisfy the desire to own her time, her life.
The more she walks, the fewer words there are to place on her approach, her art, her inspiration since everything can be summed up in one word: feel. What she seeks is to feel what surrounds her, to illustrate her understanding of life, to be present in order to see the beauty of nature, light and movement.
Having been the owner of Aquamel the universe of artistic creations for over 11 years, the project she has been cherishing for years is to open her gallery in the city and offer a showcase to French-speaking and Acadian artists in order to contribute to the development of arts and culture.
